RYA Competent Crew
Course Content:	The Competent Crew course introduces the complete beginner to cruising and teaches personal safety, seamanship and helmsmanship to the level required to be a useful member of the crew of a cruising yacht.
Minimum Experience:	None - course structured for beginners aiming to become experienced crew.
Duration:	5 days

RYA Day Skipper (Practical)
Course Content:	This course is conducted on-board a cruising yacht (7 - 15m LOA), to teach pilotage, navigation, seamanship and boat handling up to the standard required to skipper a small cruising yacht safely by day in tidal waters with which the student is familiar.
Minimum Experience:	5 days sea time Basic navigation skills.
Duration:	5 days (practical only)

RYA Coastal Skipper (Practical)
Course Content:	The aim of the course is to teach the skills and techniques required to skipper a cruising yacht (7-15m LOA) safely on coastal and offshore passages by day and night. You will learn advanced yacht handling, navigating coastal passages and pilotage.
Minimum Experience:	15 days sea time 2 days as Skipper 300 nm logged Navigation ability to RYA Coastal Skipper standard.
Duration:	5 days (practical only)

RYA Yachtmaster Coastal Preparation and Exam
Course Content:	The RYA Yachtmaster Coastal Skipper Certificate of Competence examination is the next step for those who have completed the RYA Coastal Skipper course and have completed some coastal sailing. This Certificate demonstrates that you have the knowledge needed to to skipper a yacht on coastal passages, but do not necessarily have the experience needed to undertake longer offshore passages. The theory knowledge required is the same as that for Yachtmaster Offshore, but less practical experience and skill is required.
Minimum Experience:	30 days aboard 2 days as skipper 800 miles logged 12 night hours VHF operators certificate Valid first aid certificate. If an RYA Coastal Skipper completion certificate is held only 400 miles required.
Duration:	5 days

RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Preparation and Exam
Course Content:	The RYA Yachtmaster Offshore Skipper Certificate of Competence examination candidates must pass a practical examination of their skippering ability and be capable of skippering the yacht on extended offshore passages by day or night.
Minimum Experience:	50 days aboard 5 days as skipper 2500 miles logged 5 passages over 60 nm including 2 as Skipper and 2 at night Navigation to Coastal Skipper standard. VHF radio operator's certificate A valid first aid certificate

Mile Builder
Course Content:	This course is for anyone who want to sail some longer passages and gain more sea-miles under the watchful eye of an RYA Instructor. Cruise with instruction in a more relaxed way to gain experience of ocean passages and build your sea miles for pre-course requirements for Yachtmaster Coastal or Yachtmaster Offshore certificates.
Minimum Experience:	No pre-requisites
